Walking, Learning Logs, and the Writing Assignment

Well, i took a peak at the Walking papers and found the Patriot that i am doing my report on. Wow, i was quite overwhelmed to read such detailed info. It has spurred me to start collecting resources on Jonathan Edwards and trying to put together what the colonial stage might have been like. i even found myself thinking about it when i couldn't sleep last night.

Thoreau

I picked up Walden, just glancing through the content page to gleen over the wonders that lie ahead in such an aclaimed book. The chapter on Civil Disobedience caught my eye straight away, and i have been here since pondering the words and thoughts of 150+ years ago, amazed at how applicable they are today. In amusement i chuckled to myself thinking if Henry David Thoreau was alive today, i bet Glen Beck or O'Riley would have him on their show. :)

John Adams

I have just started to read John Adams, and already i am forming such a vivid movie in my mind about the colonial days and the way of everyday life. The amazing details that David McCullough fuses into his writing is very illuminating for me. The author has a way of transforming me from my cozy couch in the living room into the very perhaps stark room where the characters are conversing. I'm looking forward to the intriguing journey that lies ahead in the pages of this book.
